Odisha Power Transmission Corporation Limited (OPTCL) emerged champions in the 15th Secretariat Cup Cricket Tournament, routing Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) by 104 runs in the final at Indira Maidan here today.
Sambit Harichandan hit a 26-ball 56 for OPTCL to be adjudged the man of the match. The champion team received a cash prize of Rs 10,000 and runner-up side took home Rs 7,000. Priyam Mallick of the SOA University was bagged the award as man of the tournament.
Forest Department Additional Secretary Debidutta Biswal handed over the trophy in presence of host Odisha Secretariat Cricket Association working president Laxmi Prasad Bhuyan and general secretary Tarun Chandra Paul.
BRIEF SCORE: OPTCL 231/3 in 30 overs (Soumitra Sethi 57, Arun Pradhan 56, Sambit Harichandan 56) beat KIIT 127/10 in 25.4 overs (Abhinash Rath 34, Chandrabhanu Naik 33; Arun Pradhan, Somnath Baliarsingh 2 wkts each) by 104 runs.
